{"id":816,"date":"2020-03-14T19:15:21","date_gmt":"2020-03-15T02:15:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cpecschool.org\/?p=816"},"modified":"2020-03-14T19:15:29","modified_gmt":"2020-03-15T02:15:29","slug":"coronavirus-update-online-classes-continue-access-to-cpec-school-campus-suspended-3-16-20-4-17-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cpecschool.org\/?p=816","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus Update &#8211; Online Classes Continue &#8211; Access to CPEC School Campus Suspended (3\/16\/20 &#8211; 4\/17\/20)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">March 13, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After careful deliberation, Clear\nPassage Educational Center (CPEC) has decided to suspend student access to\nCPEC\u2019s campus, beginning Monday, March 16.&nbsp;Access to CPEC\u2019s campus and the\ncomputer center will resume Monday, April 20 (which includes CPEC\u2019s spring recess from April 13\nto 17). This action is an extra measure of protection to help\nprevent the spread of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19. We do not have any\npresumptive or confirmed cases of the new coronavirus on our campus, but we are\ntaking this step to help protect public health.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this period students will\ncontinue to have access to all online courses via Fuel Ed (Peak) and will be\nexpected to complete assigned coursework from home. In addition, regularly\nscheduled student meetings with Mr. Zeiler (lead teacher) will be conducted via\ntelephone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a safety precaution, students are\nadvised to stay home and minimize social contact as much as possible to keep\ncaregivers and adult family members safe. Children have not been shown to be a\nhigh-risk group for serious illness from this virus. However, they can transmit\nthe virus to those most vulnerable.
